Waymo announced it has over 1,500 commercial self-driving robotaxis in operation and is investing millions with Magna to build over 2,000 more autonomous Jaguar I-Pace vehicles at a new Arizona factory. This 239,000-square-foot Mesa facility, strategically located near Waymo's service areas, will streamline production, enabling robotaxis to enter public service within 30 minutes of leaving the factory. The factory, designed to handle other vehicle platforms like the Zeekr RT, aims to produce tens of thousands of autonomous vehicles annually.
