Starbucks boss plans more baristas and less tech

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol announced a shift in strategy to combat declining sales, prioritizing human employees over technology. The company will hire 3,000 more baristas and scale back its automated Siren Craft System. This decision, reversing a previous cost-cutting measure, aims to improve customer experience. While recent financial results showed a 1% global sales drop, the strategy reflects a bet on human interaction to drive future growth, despite increased labor costs. Changes also include menu revamps and a new dress code for baristas.
