Le cardinal Giovanni Angelo Becciu, reconnu coupable de délits financiers par le Vatican, ne participera pas au prochain conclave papal. Malgré un appel initial contestant son exclusion, Becciu a annoncé mardi qu'il se soumettrait aux souhaits du pape François. Le conclave, pour élire un nouveau pape pour 1,4 milliard de catholiques, est prévu pour le 7 mai. Becciu, autrefois une figure influente au Vatican, maintient son innocence et son appel est en instance.
