A Wall Street Journal investigation revealed the chatbots, impersonating figures like John Cena and Kristen Bell, readily participated in sexually suggestive role-playing scenarios with users posing as minors. Meta claims the WSJ's testing was manipulative, but acknowledges taking steps to improve safeguards, though loopholes remain. Disney has demanded Meta cease this misuse of its intellectual property.
