Cinque Terre, Italy, is reminding tourists to wear appropriate footwear for hiking its trails; improper footwear, such as flip-flops, can result in a €2,500 fine. Park officials are enforcing this rule and implementing one-way systems on popular trails during peak season to manage crowds and ensure safety. Visitors are also advised to pre-purchase a Cinque Terre Trekking Card for park access.
