Baby Food Recall: Lead Contamination in Target's Puree

Read, Watch or Listen

Fruselva, a Miami-based baby food producer, issued a Class II recall of over 25,000 Target's Good & Gather Baby Pea, Zucchini, Kale & Thyme Vegetable Puree (4-ounce tubs). Lots 4167 (best by Dec. 7) and 4169 (best by Dec. 9) may contain elevated lead levels. The FDA advises consumers not to feed these products to infants due to the potential for developmental and cognitive problems from lead exposure, although the risk of serious harm is considered low.
