HBO Max's Harry Potter TV series has announced its first cast members, including John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Snape, and Nick Frost as Hagrid. New additions are Luke Thallon as Quirrell and Paul Whitehouse as Filch. The series, a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling's books, will run for 10 years and begin production this summer. Casting for the main trio, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, is still underway.
