Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker tested positive for cocaine on the day of his Oct. 25 loss to Fabio Wardley in England, The Sun reported. Queensberry Promotions said VADA notified parties of an adverse finding and offered no further comment while it is investigated. UK Anti-Doping and the British Boxing Board of Control will reportedly decide any punishment; The Sun mentioned a possible two-year ban. Parker, 33, may request a B sample test. Wardley stopped him in the 11th round. A source close to Parker said they were “absolutely shocked.”

The AfD welcomed a US State Department move to designate Germany’s Antifa Ost and three other European networks as terrorist organisations, urging Berlin to follow suit. Historians and security scholars warned the step sets a dangerous precedent as far-right parties gain ground, conflating diverse leftwing and revolutionary groups under “antifa.” The listing could freeze US held assets and bar entry. Antifa Ost members have been prosecuted in Germany, and a prominent member awaits trial in Hungary, while Italian and Greek groups are linked to past bomb attacks. Critics say the label risks broader crackdowns.

New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani urged consumers to skip Starbucks as baristas stage an open-ended Unfair Labor Practices strike timed to Red Cup Day, which has historically driven record sales. On X, he said he would not buy Starbucks while workers strike, adding, "No contract, no coffee." The walkout follows stalled contract talks and a restructuring that closed more than 600 U.S. stores, and is the union's fourth strike since 2023 and third since CEO Brian Niccol began in October 2024. Starbucks said company-operated coffeehouses in North America were on track to exceed Thursday's sales expectations.

The Jets opened Thursday night with a crisp 14-play, 72-yard march capped by a Justin Fields five-yard touchdown run, then sputtered with three straight three-and-outs as Fields stopped running for the rest of the half. Afterward, head coach Aaron Glenn defended dialing back his running, citing the risk of treating Fields like a running back, and said receivers need to make plays. Fields finished with 11 carries for 67 yards and 26 passes for 116, plus two sacks, and the offense moved better when he ran, even if that isn’t the plan.

At a Senate hearing on his nomination as a housing regulator, 37-year-old Bill Pulte cast himself as heir to his family’s building legacy, recalling job site visits with his grandfather, PulteGroup’s founder, and praising Atlanta. Yet he no longer has an official role at PulteGroup after being pushed off its board in 2020, and the family’s $500 million foundation said he does not speak for them. Today, his real-estate ties include five aging Florida mobile-home parks, some in disrepair, not readily apparent on disclosures because he listed parent firms, not the subsidiaries that bought them in 2023 and 2024.

A once-hyped 2026 quarterback class has cooled fast, with multiple NFL executives saying no passer looks ready to carry a franchise. That uncertainty could sting the Jets and Browns, who need help at QB and own extra first-round picks, and blunt the Titans’ trade leverage for the top slot. Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza is a tentative leader, praised for accuracy and poise. Alabama’s Ty Simpson shows control but limited traits. Oregon’s Dante Moore and South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers flash upside yet inconsistency. Texas’ Arch Manning is improving, and many underclassmen may return amid NIL incentives.

JPMorgan Chase has signed paid data-sharing agreements with fintech middlemen covering more than 95% of data requests, including Plaid, Yodlee, Morningstar and Akoya. The bank says the deals will make open banking safer and more sustainable, following weeks of talks after the Trump Administration asked a federal court to vacate the CFPB’s 2024 rule and JPMorgan moved to charge access fees. Pricing was reduced and aggregators won service concessions; terms remain undisclosed. The Financial Technology Association condemned the move as anti-competitive and urged the Trump Administration to maintain the ban on data access fees.

Newly released House oversight committee texts show Jeffrey Epstein coached Steve Bannon during a six day stretch in August 2018, shaping TV performances and political messaging to defend Donald Trump and boost Bannon’s media ventures. The exchange captures banter, production notes, and talking points on tax cuts, immigration, and security clearances, plus real time reactions to David Pecker’s immunity in the Michael Cohen case. The messages also reference Peter Thiel and Anthony Scaramucci and discuss covert meeting plans amid surveillance concerns. Bannon did not respond to the Guardian’s requests for comment; it’s unclear whether the chat was longer.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth unveiled Operation Southern Spear, naming U.S. Southern Command and Joint Task Force Southern Spear to dismantle narco terror networks across the Western Hemisphere. He said the mission protects the homeland and chokes off deadly drugs. The Pentagon logged a 20th strike on alleged drug boats this week; the latest, in the Caribbean, killed four suspected narco terrorists. The Navy will use robotic vessels, interceptor boats, and vertical takeoff and landing robotic air vessels, alongside warships including USS Gerald R. Ford. CBS News said Donald Trump was briefed on Venezuela options, and Democrats backed the strikes.

PepsiCo is stripping artificial flavors and dyes from two of its best-known snacks, unveiling new Simply NKD versions of Doritos and Cheetos that are entirely dyeless. The lineup includes Simply NKD Nacho Cheese and Cool Ranch Doritos, plus Simply NKD Puffs and Flamin' Hot Cheetos. CMO Hernan Tantardini said the company is reinventing iconic brands while keeping bold flavors. The move follows similar steps by other companies after Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.'s push. Preorders are open, with stores stocking them December 1.
