Comedian Aziz Ansari's plan to donate part of his performance fee from the Riyadh Comedy Festival to Human Rights Watch (HRW) and Reporters Without Borders has been rejected by HRW. The organization stated it cannot accept donations from performers at the state-sponsored event in Saudi Arabia, due to concerns about compromising its independence. HRW also urged performers to call for the release of detained Saudi activists. The festival, which has been criticized for its association with the Saudi regime, saw a divide among comedians, with some refusing to participate due to ethical concerns.

Despite India's continued support for Russia and a contentious case of a British activist jailed in India, UK's Labour Party leader, Starmer, has prioritized trade over these issues during his visit to India. Starmer's trip comes as India seeks new trading partners due to US tariffs and the UK looks to secure a post-Brexit free trade deal. While Starmer dodged questions about India's oil purchases from Russia and the jailed activist, his visit was marked by significant welcome gestures and potential business deals, including a Bollywood studio's commitment to produce films in Britain.

During a recent Cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump made several false statements, particularly about vaccines. He inaccurately claimed that babies receive 82 vaccines in a single shot and that the Amish community doesn't take vaccines or have any cases of autism. He also falsely stated that a separate measles vaccine is available in the US. Trump made incorrect claims about Venezuelan drug boats, the number of wars he's settled, the reduction of drug prices, and the 2020 election result. He also wrongly stated that a bill he signed includes no tax on Social Security.

As respiratory virus cases rise across the US, many areas are expected to reintroduce face mask mandates this winter, particularly in healthcare settings. Sonoma County in California has already reinstated mask requirements for visitors and health workers in certain healthcare facilities. Experts predict other regions will follow, especially in areas experiencing viral outbreaks that strain hospital systems. However, the extent of these mandates may vary due to general aversion to such restrictions. Despite some studies suggesting cloth and surgical masks make little difference to COVID infection rates, many still advocate for their use, particularly in high-risk settings.

The show, which was filmed in Northern Ireland, brings a new tone of action, perspective, and class experience to the world of Westeros.

The concept of cheat codes is making a comeback in the gaming industry, with developers like Square Enix reintroducing them in the form of 'streamlined progression' features in upcoming games like Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. While some critics argue that such features undermine the intended gaming experience, proponents, including director Naoki Hamaguchi, argue that they offer players more choice in how they interact with the game. However, the article suggests that such features should be hidden as old-fashioned cheat codes, rather than being easily accessible in menus, to maintain the game's intended design.
