Rising insurer rates and the expected expiration of enhanced subsidies mean many of the 24 million enrollees could face higher bills, shop for cheaper plans, or go uninsured. KFF cites average premium hikes of 30% on HealthCare.gov states and 17% on state marketplaces, with some paying 114% more if enhancements lapse. Enrollment runs Nov. 1 to Jan. 15 in most states, and continuous signup for the lowest incomes ended Aug. 25.
