Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau says four people held over last month’s Louvre heist are local petty criminals with no ties to organized crime. The suspects—three men and a woman from Seine-Saint-Denis—include a 37-year-old with 11 convictions, mostly for robbery, and another with 15. Two men were convicted over the same Paris robbery in 2015. One man is in a long-term relationship with the 38-year-old woman. The thieves used a truck-mounted ladder to enter the Apollo Gallery, which houses the French crown jewels, and stole nine items, including a diamond and sapphire set.
