The Times obtained videos of a Tuesday immigration operation in South Los Angeles that left a deputy U.S. marshal and TikTok streamer Carlitos Ricardo Parias wounded. Footage shows a sedan boxed in by officers, engine revving as smoke billows, an order to 'Shoot him with a pepper ball,' then 11 rapid shots. In the aftermath, officers pull a screaming man from the car, handcuff him, and firefighters render aid. Authorities say an ICE officer’s fire ricocheted, striking the marshal while wounding Parias, 44, who is hospitalized and charged with assault on a federal officer; arraignment is delayed.
