Polish prosecutors said a Ukrainian citizen allegedly working for Russian intelligence was detained in Poland as part of a wider sabotage campaign, while two Ukrainians were arrested in Romania after depositing parcels with improvised explosive devices at a Bucharest courier service. The devices were defused, and the pair received 30 days’ preventative arrest. Authorities said the plot sought to intimidate populations and destabilize EU countries supporting Ukraine. In Poland, eight suspects were held in recent days; Prime Minister Donald Tusk and minister Tomasz Siemoniak cited reconnaissance of military and critical infrastructure and preparations for attacks.
