French media say two suspects have been arrested over the theft of crown jewels worth €88m from the Louvre. Le Parisien reports the men, from Seine-Saint-Denis, were detained Saturday evening, with one stopped at Charles de Gaulle Airport. Four thieves used a vehicle-mounted lift and power tools to enter the Galerie d'Apollon via a balcony around 09:30, threatened guards, and cut through two display cases before fleeing on scooters eight minutes later. A preliminary report found one in three rooms lacked CCTV. France's justice minister said security protocols failed. Specialist police can hold the suspects up to 96 hours.
