Obama blasts Trump over Chicago Guard deployment

Barack Obama, in a surprise interview for the final WTF podcast episode posting Monday, urged institutions not to cut deals with the Trump administration, saying they shouldn’t be bullied into hiring rules “cooked up by Steve Miller.” He condemned Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to Chicago as an end run around the Posse Comitatus Act that weakens democracy. Obama also critiqued progressive absolutism, praised Texas Rep. James Talarico after a Joe Rogan appearance, and argued politics needs integrity and a less lecturing tone, including on trans issues.
