Motorcycle crash triggers deadly Andhra Pradesh bus fire

At least 25 people died and several were injured early Friday when a motorcycle rammed a passenger bus and sparked a fire that engulfed the vehicle near Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, police said. Flames tore through the bus within minutes as it sped along the highway; most of the 44 passengers were asleep. Some smashed windows to escape with minor injuries, but others were trapped as the driver’s extinguisher failed. The biker also died. Bodies were burned beyond recognition. Leaders offered condolences, and forensic experts began investigating.
