Johnson Defends 'Hate America' Rally Label on ABC

House Speaker Mike Johnson defended calling the weekend's anti-Trump 'No Kings' demonstrations 'hate America' rallies, saying he was condemning the message, not Democrats. Pressed on ABC's This Week by Jonathan Karl, Johnson said he has 'never called anybody an enemy' and pointed to videos he said showed violent rhetoric, including 'fascists must die.' When asked about likening anarchists, antifa and Hamas to the modern Democratic Party, he defended his remarks, said he didn't mean the whole party, cited New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, and claimed a rise of Marxism.
