Trump said she opened a direct line with Vladimir Putin after an August letter, leading to meetings, calls and the exchange of detailed records on the children. Eight were reunited with families in the past 24 hours; one repatriated child was Russian. She said U.S. and Ukrainian authorities verified Moscow’s information and that more returns—including those now over 18—are planned.
