McCaffrey powers 49ers past Falcons, 20-10

Christian McCaffrey ended his early-season lull with a throwback night, piling up 129 rushing yards and two scores plus seven catches for 72 as the 49ers beat the Falcons 20-10. He punched in a 1-yard TD before halftime and sealed it late, snagging a 17-yard third-and-3 and finishing with a 4-yard run for a 10-point cushion with 2:26 left. San Francisco, stuck at 3.1 yards per carry, ground out 174 on 39 rushes. Mac Jones threw for 152 with a pick. Atlanta’s Michael Penix Jr. had 241 yards, a TD and a lost fumble. 49ers are 5-2; Falcons 3-3.
