Mamdani mocks Cuomo after Trump tepid nod

On 60 Minutes, President Trump offered Andrew M. Cuomo tepid support, saying he’d choose the Democrat running as an independent over Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee he falsely called a communist. Mamdani, the front-runner, quickly mocked Cuomo online and argued City Hall should offer an alternative to a Trump mirror image. Cuomo denies any allegiance to Trump while courting his supporters and claiming he’d better stand up to the president. Trump, no longer a city resident, has also declined to support Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa.
