Luka Doncic scores 43 in Lakers' loss, says groin issue 'probably nothing'

Los Angeles — Luka Doncic poured in 43 points with 12 rebounds and nine assists, but the Lakers fell 119-109 to the Warriors on opening night. After logging a game-high 41 minutes, he received treatment on the inside of his right leg and said it’s “probably nothing,” explaining his hip briefly went the opposite way. Doncic dominated the paint (13-for-14) and had two steals, yet L.A.’s 20 turnovers, 8-for-32 shooting from three, and a 35-25 third quarter tilted the game. Coach JJ Redick said they must rethink things to fix ongoing third-quarter issues.
