Broncos seize lead after bold fourth-down

Early mistakes put Denver on its heels, but a gutsy fourth-and-five call flipped the script. After a fumble set up a Jets field goal and a 72-yard Kene Nwangwu return led to another, Wil Lutz drilled a 57-yarder to tie it before Bo Nix hit Nate Adkins on a 16-yard wheel route to give the Broncos the lead late in the first quarter. New York’s offense sputtered — eight plays for nine yards — despite six early points. The Jets entered this game 0-5; Allen Lazard was inactive.
