Taylor, Colts top Chargers in Steichen's return

Inglewood, Calif. — Shane Steichen’s return to Los Angeles ended with a win as the AFC South-leading Colts beat the Chargers 38-24 for their NFL-best sixth victory. Jonathan Taylor rushed for three untouched touchdowns (23, 8, 19 yards) and 94 yards, while Daniel Jones threw for 288 yards and two scores to Michael Pittman Jr. and Tyler Warren. Indianapolis led 23-3 at halftime and snapped a five-game L.A. skid. Justin Herbert set a franchise record with 37 completions and had a career-high 420 yards and three TDs, but he was sacked three times and intercepted twice.
