Kyle Larson captured his second NASCAR championship in a chaotic Phoenix Raceway finish, denying Denny Hamlin after a late caution sent the finale into overtime. William Byron's flat tire and crash bunched the field, and pit choices flipped the order: Larson took two tires to restart fifth, Hamlin four to restart 10th. Larson finished third to clinch the title, while Hamlin, who led 208 of 319 laps from the pole, faded to sixth. Ryan Blaney won the race. A stunned Hamlin called himself "numb," as Larson marveled at winning without leading a lap.
