Late thunder and white-knuckle defense carried the Los Angeles Dodgers past the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 in 11 innings in a wild World Series Game 7. Trailing 3-0 and later 4-2, L.A. drew level on Miguel Rojas’ first tying ninth-inning Game 7 home run before Will Smith launched the first extra inning Game 7 homer for the lead. The Dodgers survived a bases-loaded ninth with a toe-on-the-plate force and a jarring outfield collision catch. Bo Bichette homered to chase Shohei Ohtani, and after a benches-clearing hit-by-pitch, Yoshinobu Yamamoto closed it out for the repeat title and Series MVP.
