A source briefed on the Dodgers’ plans says Shohei Ohtani will start Game 7 of the World Series on three days rest, while also leading off as designated hitter, as Los Angeles pursues the first repeat champion since the 1998 to 2000 Yankees. He is slated to face Blue Jays right hander Max Scherzer, 41. Manager Dave Roberts has not officially committed and says Ohtani’s workload could be limited, but MLB’s Ohtani rule makes starting the practical path to preserve the DH.
