Eric Adams Will Endorse Andrew Cuomo for NYC Mayor

Mayor Eric Adams will endorse Andrew M. Cuomo in the New York City mayor’s race, ending months of bitterness to blunt Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani’s momentum. After sitting courtside together at the Knicks’ opener, Adams said he’ll campaign with Cuomo in neighborhoods where he’s popular, aiming to mobilize Black and brown voters and warning that Mamdani’s policies on policing, prostitution and Rikers are too extreme. The effect is uncertain: Adams’s approval is at record lows after federal corruption charges later dismissed by the Trump administration, and Cuomo, a third-party candidate, still trails by double digits. Early voting starts Saturday.
