Dodgers shuffle lineup; Smith rises, Betts third

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts signaled changes for Game 5, and ESPN reports catcher Will Smith will bat second with Mookie Betts sliding to third — his lowest spot since 2021. Alex Call will start in left field, either for Enrique Hernández or Andy Pages. The Dodgers have produced just three runs over their last 20 innings, two on solo shots. Since the NLDS began, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman have combined for eight homers and a .253/.388/.589 line, while the rest of the roster lags. Betts is 3-for-19 in the World Series. The lineup is not yet final.
