Family Matters actor arrested near U.S.-Mexico border

Darius McCrary, known for Family Matters, was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol near U.S.-Mexico border in California on Sunday, Oct. 5, on felony charges and is being held in a San Diego jail, records show. Listed as a "fugitive arrest," he has not been sentenced and is not eligible for bail. His rep said he was stopped while partnering with a real estate developer building homes for the homeless in Tijuana and learned of a warrant tied to a missed child-support court date; she said COVID led to the lapse. His first hearing is set for Wednesday, Oct. 15.
