Coffin Transfer, Aid Deliveries, ICRC Guides Searches

The Red Cross transferred a coffin from Hamas to Israeli forces inside Gaza, with the IDF set to bring it to Israel’s National Institute of Forensic Medicine for identification, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said. Since an Oct. 10 ceasefire took effect, the U.N. reported 470,000 movements from southern to northern Gaza, ongoing shortages of essentials, and recent deliveries including 300 aid trucks, 329,000 liters of diesel, and more than one million hot meals. The ICRC, not involved in recovery, accompanied Hamas—with Israeli permission—to guide searches for the remaining 13 bodies of hostages.
