Accurate Energetic Systems, LLS: Explosion reported at military explosives company in Tennessee

A devastating explosion at Accurate Energetic Systems, a military explosives manufacturer on the Hickman–Humphreys county line in Tennessee, left some confirmed dead and others unaccounted for around 7:45 a.m. Friday, officials said. Nearby homes shook and smaller blasts followed as agencies secured the scene by late morning but held back over fears of secondary explosions. Resident Gentry Stover said it felt like his house collapsed. The company makes high-explosive compositions for U.S. DoD and industrial markets. Authorities urged people to avoid the area.
