A 24-year-old Honduran man, Jose Castro Rivera, died Thursday after running onto Interstate 264 in Norfolk, Virginia, while fleeing ICE agents, authorities said. The targeted, intelligence-based stop ended with an agent performing CPR; he died at the scene. State police said they were not involved in the pursuit, and the crash remains under investigation. His death is the third known fatal incident linked to immigrants fleeing ICE raids under the Trump administration, following California cases involving Roberto Carlos Montoya Valdés and Jaime Alanís García. Government data indicates detainees without criminal records constitute the largest share in U.S. immigration custody.
