TikTok creator and US marshal shot during LA immigration raid

An immigration enforcement operation in Los Angeles turned violent Tuesday when officers fired at Carlitos Ricardo Parias, a 44-year-old Mexican national and TikTok creator who documents ICE activity. DHS said Parias, allegedly in the US illegally, rammed law enforcement vehicles while trying to flee; he was shot in the elbow, and a US marshal was wounded in the hand by a ricochet. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Parias was charged with assault on a federal officer; his court hearing was postponed. A city councilman who once honored him expressed solidarity.
