TikTok creator shot, arrested in federal clash

Los Angeles TikTok creator Carlitos Ricardo Parias remained hospitalized Wednesday after federal agents shot and arrested him during a confrontation near his home, authorities said. Agents allege Parias tried to ram their vehicles as they boxed in his car; a bullet struck his elbow and a ricochet injured a deputy US marshal. Charged with assault on a federal officer, his court appearance was delayed. Known online as Richard LA, Parias has filmed ICE raids amid the Trump administration’s deportation campaign and was recently praised by a city councilmember’s office. A witness reported rubber bullets and teargas, and firefighters responded.
