One person was killed and at least six others wounded when gunfire erupted during Lincoln University’s homecoming festivities Saturday night, authorities said. The attack began before 9:30 p.m., after crowds left the football game and gathered outside the International Cultural Center. One individual alleged to have a gun is in custody as investigators examine whether more than one shooter opened fire; a motive remains unknown and injury details were not released. Witnesses described a stampede as people fled. The governor pledged support, and the university said counselors would be available Sunday.
