MLB World Series Game 1: Toronto Blue Jays beat LA Dodgers 11-4

Addison Barger blasted the first pinch-hit grand slam in World Series history, igniting a nine-run sixth as the Toronto Blue Jays thrashed the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-4 in Game 1 at Rogers Centre, the first Fall Classic in Canada since 1993. Toronto erased an early deficit after Daulton Varsho’s two-run homer tied it, then surged once Blake Snell exited following a hit-by-pitch. Ernie Clement put them ahead before Barger’s slam and Alejandro Kirk’s two-run shot made it 11-2. Shohei Ohtani answered with a two-run homer, but the Dodgers never recovered. Game 2 is Saturday in Toronto.
