Two Michigan men, Mohmed Ali of Dearborn and Majed Mahmoud, were charged with receiving and transferring firearms knowing they would be used to commit terrorism in an ISIS-inspired plot allegedly aimed at a Halloween massacre in a Detroit suburb, according to an FBI affidavit. Investigators say the pair trained at gun ranges with a juvenile and other co-conspirators, scouted sites in Ferndale, and stockpiled weapons and over 1,600 rounds. Federal raids seized rifles, shotguns and pistols. An attorney for one suspect claimed there was no plot. FBI Director Kash Patel said the swift work likely saved many lives.
