Trump says he's mulling sending National Guard troops to San Francisco: "We are going to make it great"

President Trump said Sunday he would send the National Guard to San Francisco to “make it great again,” telling Fox News he could invoke the Insurrection Act if challenged. It was his second mention in less than a week, following June’s deployment to Los Angeles and an Oct. 15 suggestion to FBI Director Kash Patel. San Francisco officials pushed back: District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said the city has it under control, and Mayor Daniel Lurie cited 40% downtown and 30% citywide crime declines, a crime‑free Dreamforce, and “No Kings” protests. Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office replied: “No, we do not.”
