The Tennessee Titans dismissed head coach Brian Callahan six games into his second season, ending his tenure at 4-19 (1-5 this year with No. 1 pick Cam Ward). President of football operations Chad Brinker cited insufficient growth despite a patient plan and thanked Callahan for his character. The Titans have scored just 83 points in six games, their fewest through six since 1985, and have four double-digit losses, most in the league. Fans booed and chanted 'Fire Callahan' during a 41-20 Week 3 loss; playcalling had shifted to quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree. No interim coach has been named.
