Las Vegas Aces clinched their third WNBA title in four years, sweeping the Phoenix Mercury with an 11-point Game 4 win. Up nine after one, 16 at halftime and by 20 early in the third, the Aces withstood a rally that cut it to six despite Satou Sabally’s absence, Alyssa Thomas’s shoulder injury and coach Nate Tibbetts’s ejection. A’ja Wilson led with 31 points, nine rebounds and four assists, Chelsea Gray added 18 and key fourth-quarter shots, and Jackie Young posted 18, seven and eight. Thomas recorded a 17-12-10 triple-double in defeat.
