NASA announced 10 new astronauts, six women and four men, selected from 8,000 applicants. This class, including a SpaceX veteran, is the first with more women than men. They will undergo two years of intensive training before potential assignments to the ISS, lunar Artemis missions, and eventually, Mars. NASA aims to return to the moon and eventually send humans to Mars, surpassing China in space exploration.
