Patrick Lavon Mahomes II, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, was removed from the injury report on October 16, after completing a full practice session on Friday.

The decision follows a series of setbacks, including a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the 2025 season and a dislocated kneecap in 2019 that kept him out of only two games. Chiefs medical staff confirmed Mahomes is now cleared to play and will start the upcoming game against the Denver Broncos.

The move comes as the team prepares to compete in the AFC West, where Mahomes has led the Chiefs to multiple playoff appearances and three Super Bowl victories. Fans and analysts alike are hopeful that his return will boost the Chiefs’ offensive firepower and keep the franchise in championship contention.

A representative for Selma Blair defended the actress after she pleaded not guilty to two counts of second‑degree assault following a disturbance on a Delta flight. The spokesperson emphasized that Blair experienced a medical emergency on board and did not intend to harm anyone.

She highlighted Blair’s 2018 diagnosis of multiple sclerosis and related pseudobulbar affect, noting the actress travels with a service dog and missed medication doses may have contributed to the incident. The defense argues the confusion and disorientation at altitude played a role, urging courts and the public to consider the full context before judgment.

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin confirmed that federal agents executed multiple search warrants on the same day they searched Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar’s Washington residence. In a podcast interview, Mullin described the investigation as a "strong case" and indicated that a judge authorized the enforcement action.

The Secretary emphasized that the case could involve racketeering laws, suggesting that individuals who submit fraudulent immigration documents may face federal prosecution.
