George Springer’s thunderous three-run shot in the seventh flipped Game 7, and the Toronto Blue Jays edged the Seattle Mariners 4-3 to claim their first pennant since 1993. Before a roaring sellout of 44,770, Toronto erased a 3-1 deficit, sending the World Series back to Canada for the first time in 32 years. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the ALCS MVP, vowed the job isn’t finished as the Blue Jays prepare to host the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers in Friday’s Game 1. Seattle, still seeking its first pennant, was left heartbroken after leading late.

Twenty-one years after missing the original, the reviewer finds Ninja Gaiden 4 a fast, ferocious entry, starring new masked antihero Yakumo instead of Ryu Hayabusa. Co-developed by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, it emphasizes relentless close-quarters combat, a Ravenbound power mode, grisly finishers, and acrobatic traversal from wall-running to portal-hopping. Some late-game repetition aside, its focused, old-school level-boss-weapon loop and occasional Ryu sections keep momentum, earning it a spot among the author’s favorite recent action games. Ninja Gaiden 4 launches October 20 at 8PM ET on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.

In his first interview since leading 'death, death, death to the IDF' chants at Glastonbury, Bob Vylan frontman Bobby Vylan told The Louis Theroux Podcast he has no regrets and would repeat it. The fallout was swift: Glastonbury condemned the chant, UTA dropped the band, the U.S. State Department revoked visas, and a North American tour was canceled. The BBC said airing the set breached guidelines but was not incitement. Calling the backlash disproportionate, Vylan said it refocused attention on Gaza, denied encouraging antisemitism, suggested race fueled the furore, rebuked Damon Albarn, and praised Chuck D’s defense.

In seeking dismissal, James Comey’s attorneys revealed that “Person 3” in his indictment is Daniel Richman, a longtime friend and former FBI special government employee. Comey faces counts for lying to Congress and obstructing a 2020 congressional inquiry over whether he authorized anonymous sourcing about the Clinton investigation. The filing says prosecutors misquoted testimony and misleadingly tied Ted Cruz’s McCabe-focused questioning to Richman, calling the case driven by President Trump’s animus. The Justice Department has not charged Richman; a separate “Arctic Haze” leak probe into Clinton-related reporting closed without charges.

Mike Evans’ record run has ended. After the Buccaneers’ 24-9 loss to Detroit, coach Todd Bowles said the star receiver sustained a broken clavicle and will miss most of the remaining regular season, though the team did not call it season-ending. Drafted in 2014, Evans had never finished below 1,000 yards, setting an NFL record with 11 straight 1,000-yard seasons to start a career, including 1,004 last year. He had just returned from a hamstring issue when, with 5:00 left in the first half, he landed hard on his right shoulder, suffered a concussion, and was carted off.

CNBC's Jim Cramer said Apple's nearly 4% jump to a record close Monday showed why investors should own, not trade, the stock, as the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq rose 1.12%, 1.07% and 1.37%. He credited three bullish analyst calls. Cramer pointed to an iPhone 17 lineup with strong demand, better selfie features, and steady pricing via trade-ins and carrier subsidies; analysts see services growth, China upside through 2026, and a potential foldable iPhone. He noted lines at product launches and cited Google's multibillion-dollar search deal and a model where chatbot developers pay for iPhone integration.

The White House dismissed a TMZ report claiming Donald Trump could move to free Sean 'Diddy' Combs this week, calling it 'fake news' and stressing that the president alone decides pardons and commutations. Combs, 55, is serving a 50-month sentence for transportation for the purposes of prostitution after acquittal on more serious counts. His lawyers filed a notice signaling an appeal and requested placement at a low-security facility. He remains at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, credited with 13 months served, as any transfer may be delayed amid a federal shutdown.

Periodic Labs, founded by OpenAI’s Liam Fedus and former Google Brain researcher Ekin Dogus Cubuk, emerged from stealth with a $300 million seed round led by Felicis. The startup aims to fuse simulations, LLM reasoning and, soon, robotic powder-synthesis to accelerate materials discovery, starting with superconductors. OpenAI is not an investor. The team has set up a lab, begun working with experimental data, and hired noted talent, while robots still await training. Additional backers include Andreessen Horowitz, DST, NVentures, Accel, and angels Jeff Bezos, Elad Gil, Eric Schmidt and Jeff Dean.

John Stamos praised his former Full House co-star Lori Loughlin in a new podcast, lauding her character while calling her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, a 'narcissist' and 'a--hole.' Loughlin and Giannulli reportedly separated this month after 28 years. Stamos recalled checking on her during the Operation Varsity Blues fallout—both served time—and said she 'didn't deserve to be dragged through that.' He called after her release; she said she met 'nice ladies' and had a book club in prison. The Daily Beast sought comment from Giannulli. Stamos and Loughlin, who played Jesse and Rebecca, described offscreen chemistry.

In his first game since Week 3, Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans exited early after laying out for a deep Baker Mayfield pass with five minutes left in the first half. Evans appeared briefly unconscious after his head and shoulder hit the ground and looked woozy as trainers helped him off. He was carted from the sideline and quickly ruled out with a concussion and right shoulder injury. Before leaving, Evans had no receptions on four targets but did draw a 23-yard pass interference flag on Rock Ya-Sin.
