Tap title to read story
Ernie Johnson, the longtime host of Inside the NBA, has announced that the 2026‑27 season will be his final run as the show’s anchor. Johnson, seventy, said the decision stems from ongoing heart issues, including bypass surgery fourteen months ago, and a desire to spend more time with his wife of forty‑four years and five grandchildren. He will remain involved with March Madness and other TNT and CBS projects, and has launched a production company, 32 Bowties, to highlight feel‑good sports stories. Johnson’s final season will see him sit beside Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, and Shaquille O’Neal for one last broadcast.
