Samsung has committed a combined one billion dollars into Helix Digital Infrastructure, an AI-focused infrastructure company established by global investment firm KKR. Launched in June 2026, Helix aims to resolve massive bottlenecks across the artificial intelligence boom by integrating solutions spanning hyperscale data center development, baseload and flexible power generation, transmission grids, and fiber-optic networks. Led by former Amazon Web Services chief executive officer Adam Selipsky, Helix is backed by foundational investors including KKR, Samsung, the Kuwait Investment Authority, NVIDIA, and U.S. power company Vistra. The massive capital injection addresses surging energy and physical infrastructure demands required to scale next-generation enterprise AI compute clusters globally. Industry stakeholders note that end-to-end infrastructure integration is vital as power grid constraints increasingly restrict data center expansion. Financial terms beyond Samsung's contribution were not immediately detailed by participating private equity stakeholders during the initial announcement.
