Country Singer Orville Peck Confesses to Making Out with Las Vegas Raiders NFL Player | JQJO

Country music artist Orville Peck revealed during a September 21 interview with Variety that he previously engaged in a romantic encounter with an unnamed member of the Las Vegas Raiders football team. The admission aligns with lyrics from his song "Ring the Bell," included on his fourth studio album, Mule, released through Warner Records. Peck stated that he requested and received explicit permission from the athlete before recording and publishing the reference. While Peck declined to disclose the player's identity to respect his personal privacy, he noted that the individual expressed pride regarding the lyric. Social media discussion following the interview focused on former Raiders defensive end Carl Nassib, who became the first active NFL player to publicly come out as gay in 2021, though Peck has not confirmed the subject's identity. Peck framed the composition as part of a broader reflection on his personal life, career struggles, and ongoing recovery from substance abuse. Neither the Las Vegas Raiders nor the NFL issued official statements.
