President Donald Trump’s childhood home in the Jamaica Estates neighborhood of Queens, New York City, has sold for approximately $1.93 million following a major interior renovation. Built in 1940 by real estate developer Fred Trump, the five-bedroom Tudor-style residence is the home where the future president lived until age four. Developer Tommy Lin purchased the vacant and neglected property last year for $835,000 and invested an additional $500,000 over an eight-month period to overhaul the interior with luxury modern amenities. The home previously changed hands for $2.14 million following the 2017 presidential inauguration, but failed to sell in 2019 when listed at an asking price of $2.9 million by a prior owner who operated it briefly as an Airbnb rental featuring political memorabilia. The recent transaction reflects a substantial price adjustment following significant capital improvements rather than peak speculative political valuation, as the property has not been owned by the Trump family for decades.
