Pop superstar Taylor Swift has received her first Country Music Association Awards nomination in four years, earning a prestigious Single of the Year nod for her track "I Knew It, I Knew You" from the animated Toy Story 5 motion picture soundtrack. The song, co-produced with long-time collaborator Jack Antonoff, was officially released on June 5 and was written from the distinct perspective of the film character Jessie. Swift joyfully celebrated the announcement on Instagram with the viral caption "Looks like I haven't yee'd my last haw" and confirmed she will attend the live awards ceremony on November 18, 2026, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. This major milestone marks her first appearance in a competitive category since 2017 and her first time attending the prestigious gala event since 2016. She fiercely competes in the category against top industry contenders Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, and Cody Johnson.
