US Women Rout Hungary 108-56 in FIBA World Cup Quarterfinals

The United States women's national basketball team defeated Hungary 108-56 in Berlin to advance to the FIBA Women's World Cup semifinals. Napheesa Collier scored 19 points to lead an offensive surge that established a tournament record for points in a quarterfinal matchup. The victory extended the United States winning streak in the tournament to 34 consecutive games, dating back to 2006. Team USA built a 36-12 lead by the end of the first quarter and a 59-30 halftime advantage, marking the highest-scoring first half in a knockout game in team history. Caitlin Clark finished with 10 points and nine assists, while Angel Reese added key minutes as the Americans shot 77 percent from the field early. Defensively, the United States limited Hungary top scorer Dorka Juhasz to two points on 1-of-12 shooting. The United States advances to face the winner of the Spain-Australia match in the next round.
