The 78th Creative Arts Emmy Awards commenced with a two-night ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, celebrating excellence in television programming. Night One featured hosts Colin Hanks, Julianne Hough, Wanda Sykes, and Julie Chen Moonves guiding the event. Mariska Hargitay earned two awards for her documentary work, while Peacock's reality competition series The Traitors continued its dominant streak, securing wins across multiple categories including a third consecutive victory for host Alan Cumming. HBO's Hacks and Netflix's Beef led overall nominations heading into the weekend with seventeen and thirteen nods respectively. Night Two will feature hosts Noah Wyle, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Daveed Diggs alongside a special tribute and Legacy Award presentation for I Love Lucy. The festivities culminate in a single consolidated broadcast on FXX scheduled for Saturday, September 12, with subsequent streaming availability on Hulu.
